Causes and Ways to Overcome Small Breasts

At puberty, a woman's body will experience several changes. One of them is enlarged breasts. But the size of each woman's breasts is not the same, there are also those who have small or large breasts.

When women experience puberty, usually between the ages of 8 and 13, the body begins to produce and release the hormone estrogen. As a result, fat in the breast connective tissue fuses and grows too. This extra fat makes a woman's breasts bigger. Meanwhile, women will also start menstruating for the first time.

 Causes of small breasts

Small breasts can be caused by a number of factors below, including:

  • Offspring
If the size of your mother's breasts is large, there is a possibility that you have such a large breast. Vice versa, if your mother has small breasts.
Weight
Having more fat in the body makes you more likely to have bigger breasts. Even when you begin to lose weight steadily while exercising and maintaining a diet, one of your body's first contracts is the chest.
  • Menopause
As you approach menopause, your estrogen hormone levels drop dramatically. As a result, the breast gland tissue also contracts and the breast becomes smaller, less dense, fatter and saggy.
  • Breast hypoplasia
This is a condition in which breast tissue does not grow properly to reduce breast size. The cause of this condition is not known with certainty, but is thought to be caused by congenital abnormalities, hereditary factors, or the adverse effects of radiotherapy on the child's thoracic area.

The way to beat small breasts

If you have small breasts and feel disturbed, there are many ways to make your breasts tighter and bigger.

  • Sports
The muscles of the chest, back and shoulders are considered to help improve posture and tighten and strengthen the chest muscles behind breast tissue. Here are some exercises to tighten the chest muscles:
  1. Pump 12 times, repeat three times.
  2. Align your hands with your palms facing forward, then open until your hands are close to your shoulders. Repeat this movement for one minute.
  3. Align your hands to the side, then make a circular one-minute circular motion.
  4. Fold your hands to your shoulders to form a U-shape. Open and close your hands back and forth.
  5. Sleep on your back, both hands holding dumbbells, both legs bent. Lift and lower both hands 12 times, repeat three times.

  • Wear a push-up bra
Using a push-up bra, the breasts are lifted until the smaller breasts look bigger. You can also give smaller breasts a bigger appearance by placing a cloth in a bra or wearing two bras at once.
  • Chest massage
It is estimated that breast massage increases blood flow and stimulates collagen production in the breast. Then, it can tighten the muscles and increase the growth of breast tissue until the small breasts look big. However, this has not been supported by scientific evidence or research.
  • Improve body posture
Walking and sitting on the right body makes smaller breasts appear bigger.
  • Breast enlargement surgery
The only way to make small breasts tighter is by doing breast augmentation surgery using an implant. There are at least two types of breast implants, namely those containing sterile (saline) and silicon brine. Saline implants are considered safer than silicone implants. If there is minimal leakage, silicone implants can damage the immune system. While saline implants will be absorbed safely or removed from the body. But first, find out about the risks and costs of breast implants by consulting a doctor.

The effectiveness of each method for overcoming small breasts above is different. So far, the best level of effectiveness in improving breast shape is surgery because it has a permanent effect.

If you are not satisfied with small breasts, you can try various ways to change the shape of your breasts. But for small breast forms not because of a serious illness, it is recommended to consult a doctor.
